north beach drive closed for paving

In order to repave the North Beach drive, North Beach will be closed to all vehicular traffic beginning Monday September 29, for a period of about six weeks.

What’s the repaving about?
The North Beach drive has deteriorated beyond repair. It will be torn out, and a new concrete drive and curbs will be poured. The boat ramp, gravel areas, beach and stone retaining walls will be unaffected by this project. The tentative schedule:

Week of Sept 29 – tear out
Week of Oct 6 – curbing
Week of Oct 13 – pouring drives
Weeks of Oct 20 & 27 – curing of concrete

Can I still use the beach?
The beach can still be used, but there will be no vehicular access for six weeks. The gate at the North Beach entrance will be locked, so access will be by foot or boat only.

What about removing my boat?
If you need to remove your boat from the water at North Beach, you will need to do it before Sept 29 or after the concrete has cured.
